Klovo and Your Information

The Privacy Notice
Published: August 20, 2026 In Force Since: August 20, 2026 Revision 3.1
Part01

Start Here

This notice pulls back the curtain on Klovo's information handling: what gets picked up, what it's used for, who else might see it, how long it sits around, and which levers put you back in control. We've written it the way we'd explain it to a friend over coffee — short sentences, no jargon walls.

One design choice shapes everything below: Klovo works without a registration form. No inbox to verify, no phone number to hand over, no password to memorize. The less you're forced to give, the less there is to protect.

Jumping to a specific answer? The pill buttons above skip straight there. Want something done about your data? Part 10 lists the exact email subject lines that reach the right desk fastest.

Klovo in One Paragraph

Klovo is a place to meet new people through live video, chat, and playful gift exchanges, with a community wall for sharing moments and an optional membership for extra comforts. You arrive as a guest, no questions asked; if you want your identity to survive a device change, an optional sign-in such as Facebook glues it together. Google's checkout handles every purchase, so payment details never touch our servers.

Part04

The Inventory

Below is every kind of information the app can come into contact with, sorted by how it comes to us: tagged AUTO when the machinery generates it on its own, YOU when it arrives only because you typed, tapped, or uploaded it.

AutoYour guest ticket
A random string minted at first launch. It stands in for a username and password, letting the app recognize you next time — that's the whole job.
YouThe profile you build
Display name, avatar, region, gender, birthday, bio line — every single one optional. A blank profile is a working profile.
YouPhotos you send up
The pictures and clips you deliberately pick from your gallery for avatars, posts, and chats. One file at a time, only the ones you choose.
AutoYour conversations
Texts, snapshots, voice notes, and the gifts flowing back and forth — kept alive so your history is still there when you open the app tomorrow.
AutoCall plumbing
Routing details that carry your audio and video across the network, pick a quality level for your bandwidth, and meter time-based features. Klovo keeps no replayable archive of your live sessions.
AutoWallet traces
Coin balances, order history, and membership status attached to your seat. Card numbers stay with Google — we see receipts, not digits.
AutoPhone fingerprints
Model, OS flavor, app build, screen metrics, interface language, crash reports, and the advertising ID your phone's system hands out.
AutoConnection breadcrumbs
Wi-Fi versus mobile, signal strength, session events, and activity trails — the flight recorder that keeps the service fair and steady.
YouLetters to support
Emails and in-app feedback you send our way, filed so the conversation can continue.
Never on the shopping list A mandatory email address, your phone number, your contacts book, your precise whereabouts, or a photo of your ID card. None of these are the price of admission.
Part05

Every Reason, Listed

Each app permission has one narrow purpose: lens and mic wake only for calls, recordings, and photo-taking; gallery access opens only for files you point at; Bluetooth exists for your earbuds and car speaker; the buzzer announces rings and pings. Deny any of them in system settings and the app carries on with a graceful downgrade — no camera means voice-only calls, not a lockout.

Part06

Ads, and the Selling Question

Short answer to the big question: your personal information is not for sale, and has never been sold. Ad partners receive the system's ad ID and coarse statistics — never your name, your messages, your photos, or anything else that identifies you.

Prefer your ads random and untargeted? Three moves, all free, any time:

  1. Send a message to emmettchambers05@gmail.com titled "STOP TARGETED ADS", mentioning your display name;
  2. Wipe the ad ID itself: Settings → Privacy → Ads on your device, then "Reset" or "Delete";
  3. Switch off ad personalization in your Google account for the same effect everywhere, not just here.

Opting out costs you nothing but relevance — the app works exactly the same, and the ads simply stop guessing.

Part07

Whose Hands, Other Than Ours

Klovo is a lean operation, so a handful of specialist contractors power parts of the machinery. Each one sees only the slice it needs:

What never happens: advertisers, data brokers, or curious strangers receiving your private chats or identity in a bundle.

Part08

The Shelf Life of Data

Everything past its shelf life is either erased outright or scrambled beyond re-identification.

Part10

Your Levers

Wherever you live, the whole control panel below is yours — these aren't regional perks, they're standard equipment:

  1. "DATA COPY REQUEST" — we reply with a rundown of everything tied to your seat, category by category;
  2. "FIX MY INFO" — most fields are editable in-app on the spot; for anything sticky, this subject line summons a human;
  3. "ERASE EVERYTHING" — profile, photos, and conversations are wiped, and we confirm by email when it's done;
  4. "STOP TARGETED ADS" — the ad-ID off switch, detailed in Part 06;
  5. "PRIVACY APPEAL" — when a request didn't land the way you expected and needs a second opinion.

Send these to emmettchambers05@gmail.com with your display name and a sentence or two of context. We check that the writer actually controls the seat in question, then answer — typically within two working days, and never past the deadline your region sets.

Part12

Across Borders, Over Time

Klovo's community spans continents, so your records may be worked on by servers and contractors in countries other than your own. Where that happens, written commitments back the transfer, keeping the protections in this notice intact wherever the bytes land.

The notice itself ages: as the app grows, this page gets republished with a fresh date and revision number at the top, and meaningful changes are announced in the app before they kick in. Keep using Klovo after the date on the page and the new version applies to you. Prefer otherwise? "ERASE EVERYTHING" works at any time.
